How to organize several years of PayPal records

Generate a broader report with fewer filters, then compare the row count and boundary dates. Use spreadsheet filters on a working copy after confirming the source export is complete.
The CSV looks wrong in Excel
Import it through Excel’s data tools instead of double-clicking. Treat transaction IDs as text, verify currency columns, and make sure dates were not automatically changed to the wrong regional format.
