Private CSV & Record Tools

No uploads. No account connections.

Use these private, browser-based tools to turn a file problem or record request into a controlled plan. Your selections stay on this page and are not sent to Digital Records Desk.

Privacy design: the tools ask about the type of problem, not the contents of your document. Never paste tax IDs, account numbers, transaction rows, passwords, or recovery phrases into a website form.

Troubleshooting planner

Diagnose a CSV problem without uploading the file

Choose what you see and where it happens. The planner produces a safe sequence of checks that preserves the original export.

Before the problem appeared, did you save over the downloaded file?

Completeness planner

Build a record download and verification checklist

Define the record, period, and purpose. The checklist helps prevent wrong-year downloads, missing periods, overwritten originals, and unnecessary disclosure.

How to use the plans safely

Preserve the source

Keep the provider’s original download unchanged. Open or transform a duplicate, use filenames that identify the platform and period, and never overwrite the only copy. A repaired spreadsheet is a working file, not a replacement for the source record.

Verify boundaries

Check the account, document type, year, first and last date, row count, currency, and file version. A successful download does not prove that the record covers every product, wallet, location, or statement period associated with an account.

Share the minimum

Ask the recipient which native format and date range it actually needs. Use an approved secure channel, create a controlled sharing copy when redaction is permitted, and avoid emailing complete financial exports merely to explain one row or formatting problem.

What these tools can and cannot do

The planners provide a structured starting point based on common export and record-control problems. They cannot inspect a file, confirm that a platform generated a complete record, interpret a tax form, calculate liability, decide what a lender will accept, or replace official provider support or qualified professional advice.

If a result involves an account-specific restriction, corrected form, disputed transaction, filing deadline, legal request, or unexplained balance difference, preserve the evidence and use the provider’s authenticated support route. Do not send Digital Records Desk the document.

Frequently asked questions

Does Digital Records Desk receive my selections?

No. The planners run in your browser and do not submit the forms to our server. The page does not provide a file-upload field.

Can the CSV diagnostic repair my file?

No. It gives you an ordered diagnostic plan so you can work on a duplicate while retaining the original export. Automated repair without knowing the provider schema can silently change evidence.

Should I convert a PDF statement to CSV?

Only when the intended recipient explicitly accepts converted data. A conversion can omit fields or misread dates and amounts, so retain the original PDF and label the converted file as a working derivative.

Can I print or save the generated checklist?

Yes. Use the Print checklist button in the result and choose your browser’s print or Save as PDF option. Review the output before storing it with sensitive records.
