Venmo account statements provide detailed transaction history and can be downloaded as CSV. Before exporting, select the correct personal, Teen, business, or charity profile and the required statement period.
How to download Venmo transaction history
- Open the official Venmo website and sign in.
- Go to your account statements or account.venmo.com/statement.
- Select the relevant profile if more than one is available.
- Choose the statement period shown by Venmo.
- Review the on-screen activity, then download the CSV.
- Save an original copy before sorting, filtering, or resaving it.
Use the website when you need a downloadable file. An app screenshot may show a payment but does not provide the structured fields and complete period available in a statement export.
Before beginning, ask the recipient whether they need a calendar year, a specific month, or the full available history. That small check avoids combining unnecessary files and reduces how much private payment information must be handled or shared.
Choose the correct Venmo profile
| Profile | Who can access history | Check before export |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | The account owner | That the required personal period is selected |
| Business | The authorized profile owner | That you did not export personal activity instead |
| Charity | The authorized charity profile | The profile identity and reporting period |
| Teen | The parent or guardian through supported controls | The teen profile and available history period |
Do not combine separate profiles by copying rows into the only original. Keep each source file intact, then create a labeled working workbook if consolidation is necessary.
Check the CSV before using it
- Confirm the account or profile name.
- Check the earliest and latest dates.
- Compare a few amounts and statuses with Venmo’s on-screen history.
- Identify payments, transfers, refunds, fees, and other entry types before totaling columns.
- Record any filters or statement periods used.
CSV files are plain-text data. Excel or another spreadsheet may automatically interpret dates, long identifiers, or decimal separators. Import the file deliberately and compare it with the untouched download before saving.
What to do if the export is incomplete
Check the profile
A transaction may belong to a business, charity, Teen, or personal profile other than the one selected.
Check the statement period
Venmo displays history by available statement periods. Download adjacent periods if the request spans more than one.
Review the transaction status
Pending, completed, refunded, and reversed activity can appear differently. Compare the CSV with the transaction detail rather than assuming a duplicate or omission.
Use official support for account discrepancies
If activity is unrecognized or remains absent after profile and date checks, contact Venmo through its official help routes. Do not send a complete CSV to an unsolicited support account.

Can I download Venmo history as CSV?
Yes. Venmo’s account-statement page provides detailed history with a CSV download option.
Can I export a business profile separately?
Venmo supports statements for personal, business, charity, and Teen profiles. Select the intended profile before downloading.
Why does the CSV cover only part of my requested dates?
The request may span multiple statement periods. Download each required period and keep the files labeled.
Can I edit a Venmo CSV?
Edit only a copy. Sorting or resaving can alter dates, identifiers, delimiters, and number formats.
